Some Heart Breaks Are Blessings In Disguise

Some few years back I was dating a lady who happened to be a friend to one of my friends (guy) but I didn’t know until we met at a programme. I didn’t know they had a thing for each other until one fateful night. My girlfriend had visited me over the weekend and on Sunday afternoon this my friend called me he was coming to my place.

He got to my place within 15 mins since he wasn’t too distant from my place. I told my girlfriend my friend who she knew was coming so we should prepare some fufu with goat pepper soup. My girlfriend left to the bedroom leaving me and my friend in the living room after eating. My friend and I had a long chat whiles in the sofa. I apparently dozed off.

I woke up to see my friend’s absence so I thought he might have left since it was late. I went to lock the door and upon getting to the bedroom door I overheard “let’s be fast before he wakes up “.

I had to quietly open the door and to my surprise, I saw my friend banging my girlfriend aggressively. She had placed a handkerchief in her mouth. What was that for? Maybe she wouldn’t want to moan for anybody to hear her. I was so surprised I couldn’t react upon seeing them.

The only word I uttered was “congratulations but I want you guys to pick yourselves up and leave my house before I do something silly “. The only one that was able to gather courage to apologize to me was my friend but that was after a month, saying a whole lot that they dated before and bla bla bla. I told him we are no more friends but I have forgiven him.

I thank God she is out of my life and that I have a wonderful lady now who makes me happy and in the process of getting married. Some misfortunes are blessings in disguise.

Marriage Chronicles: Sometimes all you need to meet the right people in life is a heart break. You were lucky to have found out the romance connection between your girlfriend and your best friend. They would have done same after marriage and would have been more disheartening than this.

You have behaved maturely too and I must commend you for that. Just concentrate on your life and career while destiny brings the right woman to you.
